A few times throughout the year, the Zack Latteri Foundation brings together the student ambassadors to assemble what have become known as “ZackPacks.” When Zack would have longer stays in the hospital, he would bring his own sheets to make the bed more comfortable. This inspired the foundation to create packs for pediatric cancer patients in order to attempt to make their hospital stays just a bit more comfortable.

These packs all vary based on the age of the patients, but each includes a set of sheets and a handmade blanket. The blankets are made by the Teens Against Cancer at Pascack Hills, who partner with the foundation. Additionally, each pack can include various crafts, giftcards, and books, all intended to help make a child smile while they’re going through a tough time.

Wreath Sales

The annual wreath sale has been a way to raise money for the foundation so that we can continue to help kids and families who are going through a hard time. More information regarding the wreath sale will be posted in November!

Benefit Games

Though Zack never got the chance to attend high school, he had, and continues to have, an immense impact on the Pascack Valley community. Over the years, many of PV’s sports teams have found a way to remember Zack’s legacy and raise money for the foundation. 

Each year, the girls and boys basketball teams host a day filled with benefit games, and donate all of the proceeds to the Zack Latteri Foundation. The boys soccer team hosts an annual “Zack Night,” where they accept donations for the foundation and create orange t-shirts in remembrance of Zack. The football team held their first ever “Zack Latteri Benefit Game” in 2024 and the boys lacrosse team chose ZLF as the charity for their charity game in 2023. The support from the Pascack Valley community and their sports programs helps to keep Zack’s memory alive and raise funds for the families in need.
